Description

Brainspotting holds a special place for both Western and First Nation healing practices. Based on its neuro-experiential underpinnings, BSP melds well with Traditional practices where the inter-relationship between body, mind, heart, and soul remain paramount not only to existence, but importantly to healing and to growth.
How BSP can be incorporated into treating the wounds created by colonization will be discussed, with examples of culturally appropriate frames offered as discussion points. The challenges with attunement with First Nation Peoples will also be touched upon.
